Tears from above

Tears From Above is a collection fully rendered by hand for my illustration class. The looks are inspired by office wear and business-casual attire. The concept explores the idea of having everything and nothing at the same time, influenced by phrases like “money doesn’t buy happiness” and the line, “Class isn’t something you buy. Look at you, you’ve got on a $500 suit, and you’re still a low-life” (48 Hrs., 1982), which sparked my curiosity about the psychological relationship between wealth and mental health. The collection is set in a rainy city where businessmen roam the streets, drawn to embroidered details on garments accented with gemstones—elements that can be interpreted as tears or raindrops.
